Instructor: Aaron Ganci

The prototyping process is critical to a people-centered digital design process. We know that a design will fail if it does not meet the goals or expectations of our users. For this assignment, you will collect all of your process in one, narrative document. A reader of this document should be able to see how you got from nothing to a finished design and understand your decision throughout the process.

PDF, delivered electronically, that documents your prototype concepts, evaluative research methods, and analysis of research findings.

Grading criteria

This project is worth 10% of your overall course grade. It will be evaluated on:

  • Appropriate divergence and convergence.
  • Thoroughness of evaluative research analysis.
  • Quality of narrative to show logical enhancement of solution.
  • Visual communication design of document.

Late work

Every assignment in this course will be due at the beginning of the class of its defined due date. The consequences of late submission fall on sliding scale, increasing in severity over time. If late work is handed in within the following parameters, the grade will be reduced in the following ways:

Due date/time – same day, end of class -10%
Same day, end of class – same day, end of day (11:59pm) -15%
Next day (midnight – 11:59pm) -20%
Any subsequent day -50%
